There are 3 main classes of 4×4 tyres:

Highway Pattern (H/T or H/P) – best for daily driving and long road trips, quiet and smooth.
All Terrain (A/T) – a balanced option for drivers who use both sealed and unsealed roads.
Mud  tyres (M/T) – aggressive tread designed for off-road and muddy conditions.

We’re also seeing more Rugged Terrain (R/T) tyres — a crossover option sitting between A/T and M/T, giving you the best of both worlds.
